not really a poem poem

sometimes in english i think about you,
mostly when we are taking about lovers in stories,
i cant help but be distraced and you know my attentions waver,
and sometimes when we read poems, all sentiment and verse,
i think that i should pen you something to put these thoughts to word,
but im no good at poetry,
i try i guess, sometimes i think more than words,
the images i conjure in my head, they are like poems in my mind,
like sometimes, sometimes i think about when you'll come to visit,
i think about the airport and i like airports they are full of hellos,
goodbyes, adventures and lives, and we are just two of those lives,
but we are bright and we are burning, and we are alive and we are yearning,
look i managed, i got in some ryme,
i guess maybe one day i might be good at poems at telling you so elloquently how i feel but for now i will stumble on the words
i will speak simply, i will, but when i open mouth to talk my words will be real,
