im so glad that while the whole world is sedated by the latest news on lindzy lohan, the amarican government is passing yet another bill that leads us one step closer to the death of democracy. call it noble, call it fighting for freedom, but some where some one's loosing their rights so that americans can sleep a little better at night. Are we really so nullified and dazzled by the sparkleing tits of hollywood that we cant take the time to pay attention to something other than wondering if jesica simpsons left boob is perkier than her right one?
it makes me sick to think that we are as people are letting the idea of freedom slip through the cracks and become a technicality. Who wants freedom when it means that your ideas can cause you to be detained with out trial or explanation, weather your are an american citizen or not...? i sure dont.
If by freedom you ment that you have the choice of shopping at wal-mart or zellers, buying 2 ply or 1 ply... sketchers or nikes... well then thats what you've got folks. it saddens me to think that the first step to world peace always seems to start with dropping bombs on some one else's home. No matter weather the motives were right or wrong... this is all starting to sound a little more like a George Orwell novel every day. Bring out the new speak, lets re-write the text books, and ration the gin. Are we really such an easy lay? did george bush come in the night flip us over and say take it or did we ask for this? i dont know, but i feel like we've got fucked and im not sure how it happend.
yet, what can we do when 96 percent of the population could tell you more about last nights episode of prison break than they could about very world we live in? perhaps i should sedate myself with pop culture and join the masses. i will put on my j-lo track suit and march to my ruin mesmerized by the high gloss shine of janet jacksons new escalade.

Isn't that by defenition, the exact opposite of freedom?
Unless of course you mean the kind of freedom that means "to follow exactly what we expect from you and no deviation there of."
Oh right, that kind. I'll take one of those please.
P.S. I got this off of matt good's blog but it's pretty intresting in the "I can't believe a person can actually do this to someone else" kinda of way. Esspecially knowing that the military doesn't officially condone this method of torture, but it's of no restriction to the CIA.

hey wanna know something that is bad. but kind of funny...
yesterday my dad cut the tip of his thumb off. (like when it heals he's going to be deformed lol) anywho I asked him if he kept the tip so they can sew on it. and he said "hell no there was glue and shit on it I'm not that attached to it" <--(apparently not lol!) so he took off the dodgey wrapping from work, and it just kept pooring out blood I was trying to wrap it for him and I got blood all down my arm looked like i was bleeding. it looks like he was trying to trim a good chunk of the side of his thumb I can't wait till it's healed to see how crazy it lookes
oh yeah and my mom made him go to the hopsital and they said it's a good thing he came in seeing how it had been a good 8 hours and it was still bleeding once the bandage was off....(that's not cool) but yeah he's good now..
