i hate winter

have you ever noticed how much winter in alberta sucks... its like this evil force that kills everything good in you... i dont know what it is... the biting cold that seeps into your bones and makes your heart feel like its already dead or something more than that... winter is so alone you know? i just always feel like its here consuming me trying to steal my life so early, too early i dont want to give in to its evil pulling at my soul... its longing to take and take and take till there is nothing left... give me the sun and the heat that brings us happy memories and upbeat songs, laughter and time to be together... the dark of winter gets me too... the constant state of being surounded be darkness bleads me... it feels like nights last forever nights of cold emptyness and being alone... i hate winter... with its clocks that stop ticking and its sun that never rises... i hate it with its snowy blusters and its detached numbness eating life, eating passion, eating ambition, winter is my dreaded nemesis. let january febuary march april may melt into the spring so that i can feel again, so that there is sun and love and people to see, so that there are nights that bend with mornings so that there are warm breazes that compliment warm glances and summer smells of grass and smoke, not the cold frozen scent of nothing hanging in the air... the world is dead in winter and with its death it takes something in me too...
