not saying much are we?
lets review... so in January the United States, most likely through the CIA, used an unmanned drone aircraft to launch a strike against the Pakistani village of Damadola Burkanday resulting in the deaths of 18 people, among them four children, in an attempt to kill Ayman al-Zawahiri, al-Qaeda’s ideological head. in response to this incidentthe senatorrto arizonaaa John McCain had this to say
"We apologize, but I can’t tell you that we wouldn't do the same thing again”
excuse me? what?!? your sorry... you apologize? but you cant say that it wont happen again next time? wait... hold the phone here... um last time i checked the whole point of an apology was to make something right that was wrong... and in that action one would also make the effort to never do that wrong over again? but america cant say they wont do it again... but really guys... we really are sorry... sorry that "the war" killed people who just happen to live in a country involved in "the war..." but we are sorry and its okay... next time lets just hope there are no kids in the room when we decide to bomb the hell out of their apartment complex... cuase well we cant say we wont bomb them...
well next time some one gets wasted and drives home plowing down the grandma next door in hopes of making it to their drive way in piece... i really do want to know what the judge says when the convicted stands there saying:
"well um... im sorry that happened... i mean i really do apologize... but i can guaranty that the next time i drink and drive i wont kill anyone else. i mean honistly... "
i can just see the judge getting a good laugh out of that one. we wouldnt take that if some one killed our next door neighbor... no matter if they were black, white, budist, chirstian, muslim, or athist... so why is it okay for the people in the country next door or in our country for that matter, to just sit there and take that kind of excuse from their leaders? Honestly... when will we say enough is enough? and most importantly... when did the war on terror give us the right to become terrorists in some one else's country?
